Q: I am a 41-year-old white man that has recently begun to fantasize about becoming intimate with a black man. This new feeling has crept up on me in recent years. I am not homosexual and I consider myself a good father but this feeling is urging me to pursue my desires. What should I do?

A: I don’t know where this feeling would arise. I think I would consider going to counseling so you might openly discuss what you believe is the reason for this new passion that you are feeling. This is a private matter and if you truly feel as though you want to be with a black man -- then you would want to know why for the right reasons and only counseling may help you figure that out.
